Every year that we've lived in the DC area we have gone down to the Tidal Basin for the Cherry Blossom Festival. The crowds are horrendous, but we don't care! With Jon's leg broken he wasn't going to be able to go with us, but yesterday I loaded the girls up and we headed downtown. We went with some friends of ours from our play group (in separate cars). After about an hour of searching, I found a spot in Egypt and got 3 bags, 2 girls, myself and the stroller on a shuttle bus to head to the basin. But they spent almost 3 hours looking for a parking spot and finally gave up for a picnic at a local park. We took lots of beautiful pictures, had our annual picnic under the blooms, and then headed home. The funny thing was, we actually parked near the park that our friends ended up at, and we were all loading up to leave at the same time, so we followed each other home. lol

The girls were all smiled out, but I'm sure it had something to do with the fact that a stranger was behind the camera and it wasn't me acting a fool. lol
