I call it Potty Training Boot Camp

LOL but with nothing but praise and encouragement! And I'm sure I'll be TOTALLY exhausted once the 3 days are up (especially since Jon is traveling on day 2 and 3). I'm just praying we have more successes than accidents! No more diapers! We are in training panties, but only b/c I hadn't read the 3 day potty training book prior to my shopping trip. I should have gotten regular panties. :(

Day 1 update:

• Success at wake-up!
• Success after breakfast!
• Try with no success. Showered her with lots of praise for trying, and encouragement to try again later. MAJOR melt down when Little Bit thought she had to do but didn't and then she realized she wouldn't get her m & m. She cried for 20 minutes.
• Accident almost immediately after a cup of juice. We ran to the potty and tried to finish. No meltdown afterwards for not getting a treat. YEA! Encouragement to make it to the potty next time and a happy, "Ok Mommy". We got new panties and were off and running.
• Success while playing! I noticed she was standing really still, so we rushed to the potty! :)
• Partial Accident while doing puzzles. I noticed she got really still, so I asked if she needed to potty. We rushed to the potty and she was able to finish!! YEA!!! :)
• Success during lunch!
• Success before naptime!!
• And....3 trips up 2 flights of stairs during naptime b/c she needed to potty...tried with no success. This part is a game to her. Ugh! There goes naptime! :( This will all be worth it. This will all be worth it. We will be saving money on diapers. This will all be worth it!
• Success after nap!!
• Success before dinner!!
• Success during dinner!!
• Success before Kin.der.musi.k
• Success after Kin.der.musi.k
• Success before bed!!

I'd call day 1 a success!! Only 1 all-out accident, and one partial with a finish in the potty!! YEA!! Now, I know she's still not considered potty trained, but I'm encouraged after day 1. I know there will be set backs, but it hasn't been nearly as hard as I made it out to be in my head. Time consuming? Yes! I've had to have my eyes on Little Bit all day watching for signs! HA!) Has it been repetitive? YES!! I think I've said, "Tell Mommy when you need to go potty. We want to keep our big girl panties dry!" about a hundred and fifty times today! lol But, has it been bad? Not really. :)
