Good News: Our A/C unit upstairs is working.
Bad News: We have a freon leak. Upon further inspection we found out the evaporator coil in the unit is shot.
Good News: It is still under warranty, so it will only cost us $1000 to replace it. Only. lol
Bad News: Chipmunk has ANOTHER ear infection, and its only been 2 weeks since we finished an antibiotic and only 1 week since we got the all clear. UGH!!!
Good News: We saw an ENT this morning, and Chipmunk is a good candidate for tubes!! The dr gave us another antibiotic for theinfection, and surgery is September 17th.
I asked the dr if this could all be related to an allergy to milk. We started giving her milk in February, and that's when all the ear infections started for this year (up until this year she had only had 3 infections, and most were in the winter/spring/fall), and now she's up to 5, with most of them not being during the season for them. She agreed with our ped that normally we would see other manifestations like skin reactions, but she said it wouldn't hurt to put her on soy milk and see how she does. I mean, clearly we have a child who is "healthy" by nutritional standards, so putting her on soy milk won't necessarily be a bad thing for her. lol Of course, if we try it now, we won't really know if it's the milk or the tubes, but I'm just thinking the milk has something to do with all the nose/wheezing/coughing issues that's leading to the ear infections.

Faith is lactose sensitive so we are doing a lactose sensitive milk!
